As a result of this imbalance, fats get deposited in a particular area of a male body. Due to this cause an individual?s breast gets larger. This problem generally arises among people who are overweight.

During the puberty period, a boy?s body starts producing testosterone that helps him to develop into a man. This results in enlargement of breasts, the condition called Gynecomastia in medical terms or man boobs in common lingo. Besides, there are many other causes that result in man boobs. This imbalance can be caused by different types of medication to cure other ailments.

According to survey results more than 10 to 20% of this disease occurs due to medication. Some of the medicines that may cause this disease are antipsychotics, imatinib mesylate, omeprazole, cimetidine, finasteride and others. Again medications that are used to treat prostate cancer like GnRH analogs and antiandrogens can also cause this problem.

However, it should be remembered that whatever reason could be there, the treatment depends on the person.

The doctor will try to determine the cause of the problem before deciding the line of treatment to be followed. The treatment may be in the form of exercises, dietary changes or hormone treatments, and even surgery as a last resort.

Thus, it is of paramount importance that you discuss your condition with your doctor. It will help the physician to choose the correct treatment from the different options available for curing this problem effectively. Gynexin alpha formula, tomoxifen, clomiphene and ultimate gynemax are some of the common medicines that are prescribed by physicians in order to help patients in getting rid of this ailment. In addition there are other gynecomastia supplements that help in reducing male boobs.

If the disease cannot be controlled with medication, then the last option of surgery has to be accepted. Some of the common surgical techniques are reduction mammoplasty, gland excision, liposuction and at times a combination of all these techniques. Gynecomastia is not only a source of embarrassment for men it can be a symptom of another more serious ailment. Thus, it needs to be attended to immediately.
