Hello, I’m Fred, your Health Coach.
Below is a little information about me.
Education and Work Experience: Modifying long term health and stress related habits acquired during a lifetime can appear strenuous to change as most are overwhelmed by all the conflicting fitness, health and nutrition information. If you wish a personalized plan that meets and evolves with your unique needs and want the privacy and confidentiality provided to you by your coach, I offer you over 30 years of experience in counseling people acquired through my Human Resources Certification and hands-on practice in both the workplace and family counseling environments.
Areas of Specialization: If you are over 35 and desire coaching in the areas of Smoking Cessation, Weight Loss and Stress Management, I will facilitate behavior change via a structured, supportive partnership between you and I that will:
- Set both long and short term goals
- Set action plans and monitor progress in attaining goals
- Develop strategies to utilize your strengths most effectively and maximize your potential to achieve desired outcomes
I have personally stopped smoking, lost a substantial amount of weight, got back in shape, was on call 24hours a day, seven days a week, and was the object of Corporate downsizing, not all at once, thankfully. My experience has taught me that knowing something intellectually and dealing with it emotionally are two different things, so you can benefit from a coach that has “been there and done that”.
Personal information: My spouse, Dorothy, is a librarian and poetry writer. She is Irish and has the character to match. We live in a suburb of Montreal, Canada. I fluently speak French and English, enjoy reading, outdoor activities and manage a computer home network that keeps me active in the domain as I’m also a Cisco Certified Network Administrator. I look forward to helping you reach your goals.
My favorite Quote: Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb. – Sir Winston Churchill
