You don’t want to jog around the neighborhood! Isn’t there an easier way to lose weight without killing yourself?

Boot camp is also not the solution; the captain might fight you for your stash of Twinkies. If you are like me and a couple of million other people, you probably work in front of a computer the whole day. Here are some tips to get you going, yes, you can still be lazy and lose weight.

1. Walk

Yes it sounds easy, but it works, start walking but not to the kitchen for snacks. I am talking about real walking.

Walk for at hour first thing in the morning, even if the weather is’nt playing along, go to a mall. The shops are not open yet, but the mall is open early and you can walk there.

Don’t get run over by power walkers. They take over the mall and will bump you out of the way if you don’t look out for them. Perhaps you will become a mall power walker, it will help to burn more calories.

2. Swimming

Do you own a lake or a swimming pool? Alright, maybe this is going to sound like more work than it’s worth but it’s worth it. Community centers, YMCAs and YWCAs and some gyms have pools. Swimming is a great way to get an aerobic workout.

If swimming sounds like too much work, then you have not been in the water for awhile. Swimming is fun! We are not talking about joining the swim team, either. If you can get out and swim a few times a week, this will burn off the fat.

3. Try to eat more meals

I mean you should eat more often, but smaller portions. Your body can process calories better when it is digesting food. If you only eat once or twice a day your body’s metabolic rate will be running slowly.

4. Stop snacking while watching TV or at the computer

You have to beak the habit of having a snack at hand. You have to learn to say no and just doing this will help you lose weight from around your stomach area.

5. Find a substitute

You have to stay away from fast foods for a while. Once you get started its easy. When you feel like a sweet treat, try eating fresh fruit and avoid fries and milkshakes. When you eat unprocessed foods it’s not only healthy, but your body is working while you are at the computer or in front of the TV.

These are real lazy ways that you can start losing weight. They will all work for you without you having to really work at it very hard. There is some activity required, I apologize for this, but nothing included in this article is going to be that strenuous on you to lose a few easy pounds.

You are what you eat as the saying goes so if you want that great shape then you have to put in the effort an eat foods which promote weight loss. There are now quite a number of foods that help weight loss and are also enjoyable with some of these listed here.

Most people can enjoy pasta meals but other main dishes that contain certain green vegetables like cabbage, peas, boiled beans and brussels are also excellent weight loss foods. You can enjoy the delicious spaghetti with tomato sauce and low-fat veal without having to count the calories in it.

For lovers of fish, why not steam some white fish alongside your vegetables for a meal that is low in calories but very healthy and full of taste. You can even eat fresh sweet cheese providing it is low fat but yoghurt; porridge and even dark rice are healthy weight loss foods.

Of course fruit and vegetables should not even have to be mentioned but almost all of them have beneficial effects on the system and are foods that help with weight loss. Strawberries are also good weight loss foods as are water melons and kiwi which is often considered a rather exotic fruit. Unless you intend to carry out lots of stamina building exercise, you may want to steer clear of fruits with high calorie content such as bananas and figs but the likes of grapes are ok. Other vegetables that are good weight loss foods include tomatoes, celery, cucumber and lettuce as they all contain minerals and nutrients but also a high water content as well.

You will notice that at no point have cakes, chocolates or any type of junk food been mentioned here as they are more than likely responsible for your weight gain. Some manufacturers that do not want to lose their customers to health alternatives have managed to produce low-fat versions of many favorites like low-fat ice-cream, cookies, mayonnaise and even dark chocolate but there are many others. However, you will still need to check the ingredients on the packaging as some of these may not be the ideal foods to eat if you are on a certain diet.

There are many different types of Mexican cookies, including Mexican painted cookies, Mexican sugar cookies, and Mexican wheat cookies. Some types of cookies are designed for celebrations and special occasions and others are to be enjoyed at any time. Whenever you bite into a rich, flavorsome Mexican cookie, you will understand why these tasty treats are so popular.

Mexican Wedding Cookies - Mouthwateringly Tasty

Wedding Cake cookies are traditional Mexican cookies. They are made out of shortbread. Some of the ingredients include different nuts such as walnuts, almonds, and pecans that are ground. These cookies are very popular. They are served around Christmas, but also at Mexican weddings and anniversaries. Throughout the world, there are different variations of these cookies. Russia and Sweden refer to the cookie as Tea Cakes.

Tasty Mexican Biscochitos

Biscochitos is another popular cookie in Mexico. It originated in Spain. When the Spaniards came to Mexico, they also brought the cookie. They are made with anise seeds and sprinkled with cinnamon. Depending on the maker, some of these cookies include different ingredients. You might find some biscochitos with orange juice and wine taste for added flavor. The cookies are cut with cookie cutters or made into diamond shapes. Some people even drink wine while eating them.

Mexican Cochino, Puerquitos, and Marranitos

Cochino, puerquitos, and marranitos refer to the same cookie but the name changes depending on the region. Sometimes they are known as “gingerbread pigs” even though ginger is not an ingredient in these Mexican cookies. Marranitos are shaped like pigs and their spicy flavor is due to the molasses used in the traditional Mexican recipe. Mexican bakers make their own molasses by placing brown sugar in cones and boiling it with water.

Once it has turned into the syrup it is then added to the dough for the little pigs. The cookie is very moist and rich in taste with a flaky top.

Churros Mexican Traditional Cookies

Churros originated in Spain and were then introduced to Mexico. They are fried cookies, made from a light, sweetened paste. This paste is piped into hot oil and fried until it goes a golden brown color. For a sweeter taste, cinnamon is often added. Churros are delicious eaten warm and street venders make them on the street and sell them there.

It used to be hard to find churros outside of Hispanic areas a few decades ago because they were only available at sporting events and carnivals. Nowadays they are easy to find in Mexican grocery stores and local restaurants because Latin food is becoming increasingly popular with many nationalities. Some companies manufacture churros with an inner filling in a delicious flavor such as chocolate, strawberry, or apple. Many Americans have discovered the wonderful flavor of churros.

As you can see, there are plenty of types of Mexican cookies. You might like to visit a Mexican grocery store and taste a few different types. You might even want to follow a churros recipe or Mexican wedding cooking recipe and make your own tasty Mexican treats!

How To Build Muscle Without Drugs, Build Muscle Naturally!

By James Lee | July 29, 2008

by James Lee

Body building may be a favorite past time of many, but do you know what body building really is? The term is generally used to describe any form of physical activity in which proper dieting and exercise is used to develop a great body for the purposes of vanity or for competitive sports. Often you can immediately identify a professional or amateur bodybuilder through their attractive muscle tone and mass which creates a very impressive aesthetic appeal.

Bodybuilding is certainly a wonderful sport, but is there a way to ensure that all criteria will be fulfilled using only the best methodology to get into shape? There are basically two steps to an effective body building program, the first is weight training and second through the use of proper nutrition.

Let’s start by taking a closer look at the first element, weight lifting. Regular weight lifting sessions is essential, so you would need physical strength and endurance to cope with the demands of the program. Today, not everyone that performs rigorous weight lifting exercises are doing it for competition or sports, some are only interested to develop a great physique.

There are tremendous benefits of weight lifting for the entire body, plus it is also useful in assisting the body to recover from a serious injury. Due to its miraculous health benefits, it is a good idea to incorporate it into a health and recuperation program.

Proper food intake and the right nutrition is crucial for success in any body building effort. For these athletes who embark in vigorous body building sessions, it is crucial to get ample supply of proteins and supplements in the diet. Ideally the suggested best ratio of protein, carbohydrate and fat would be 2:2:1.

Keep in mind that carbohydrates are the main energy source of the body and they are mainly taken from complex sources. Carbohydrates are important to supply energy for your body building effort and most will come from complex sources. When selecting your carbohydrate foods, brown rice, sweet potato and oatmeal are excellent choice to include. Fiber is very important in your diet as it helps facilitate the easy digestion of consumed food and helps expel toxins from the body.

Hydration is essential to ensure that your body gets all the supplies it needs without creating any damage to the muscles. One good habit you can develop is to drink water before and after every session at the gym. Drinking water anytime you feel like it, especially between exercises to help replenish the water lost through sweating.

It is a good idea to have a training instructor to help you develop the right lifting techniques and proper stimulation of the body parts to ensure you do not create any long time damage to those healthy tendons and ligaments.

Vitamin B1 And Our Mental Health

By Alison Addy | July 29, 2008

by Alison Addy

This article discusses the importance of getting the required amount of Vitamin B1. It also talks about its role in promoting good mental health.

Vitamin B1 As A Treatment Drug

Vitamin B1, which is also called Thiamine, is a very important vitamin in our diet. More importantly, it’s a vital ingredient for us to stay healthy. Thiamine has long been very important in the medical health profession. It has been used as parts of treatment for patients suffering from the AIDS virus and HIV. It has also been used by many doctors to help improve brain functions and treat mental health problems.

Research has also shown that a daily diet of Vitamin B1 may be helpful in preventing or stalling the harmful effects from Alzheimer’s disease. The number of victims suffering from this degenerative disease is staggering, with more being added each year. The effects of the research being done on Vitamin B1 as a helpful drug for these patients are also phenomenal.

Vitamin B1 For A Healthy Heart

There are other important reasons to maintain an adequate level of Thiamine or Vitamin B1 in your daily diet. In addition to the many other benefits of Vitamin B1, new research has discovered that proper amounts of Thiamine may help to prevent cardiovascular and heart diseases. Many doctors and scientists believe it will help to reduce the heart-related complications with diabetic patients. They believe that increasing the diabetic patient’s dosage of Vitamin B1 will reduce the amount of bad cholesterol, which is what usually causes heart disease. Heart disease is a very serious condition. It is, in fact, the number one killer of women. For this reason alone, it’s important to check with your doctor to see if you are receiving and adequate level of vitamin B1 in your system.

Vitamin B1 And Our Mental Health

Yet another benefit of Vitamin B1 is the effect it has on our mental health. Taking Vitamin B1 on a regular basis appears to improve our cognitive functions. It has also been show to help a person concentrate better. Increasing the person’s ability to concentrate has a lot to do with how it helps ward off many of the symptoms in Alzheimer patients. There is still much research being done on the effects of Alzheimer symptoms. If it could be proven that Thiamine can stop the progression of Alzheimer’s, it would be a miracle. A recent study on the benefits of Vitamin B1 state that many psychologists are recommending the vitamin to help patients that have trouble focusing on “tasks at hand” or attention deficit patients.

Excellent food sources of Vitamin B1 are pork, milk, fruit and whole grain products. If your are using meat as your source, make sure it is not overcooked or you will be cooking the vitamins out of the food. If you are concerned about your levels of the vitamin, contact your doctor.
